Response on Sierra's Blog

     I just recently read Sierra's blog post about a book called The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. This book sounds interesting. It's about this girl name Susie Salmon and in the book she gets raped and murdered, which is really depressing. After she dies she watches he family. As she was dead, she found the guy that raped her, but he didn't only raped her he raped more young teenagers too. When Susie was alive she stayed hanging around late at night in the neighborhood, which might be a reason why she was raped. In the real world this does happen often, but some people don't know about it or they don't care. I think people should care because they need to respect their body. I think the Susie didn't know what was going to happen or maybe she had family issues and she didnt't want to be at home. When Susie was in heaven, when she looked at her family and see how they were doing, that could mean that she wants to see if her family got better or wrose. This books seems really interesting. Sierra explains her emotions throughtout the blogpost and it really makes me want to read this book.

Response On Ashley's Blog

     I just finished an amazing response by Ashley Rohit on the celebrity Justin Bieber and how he hated his nineteeth birthday party. Ashley stated many facts on how Justin Bieber's birthday went and how it all ended up. Justin's birthday was on March 1st and he was frustrated on his special day. Ashley states that Justin Bieber tweets " worse birthday '' so it must of been quite intense for him. Also she says that the "paparazzi wouldn't leave him alone." Also The people who hated him and the paparazzi made him 2 hours late to his concert which made him more angry. Ashley also states " he wish he never had this life " because the haters made his angry and he couldn't take it anymore.She also said that the paparazzi called his younger brother and sister ugly, which is very sad and rude for them to say. Justin couldn't take the stress so he just left his own party and went and hung out with Jaden Smith and his family. All in all Ashley"s response to the Justin Bieber article was very good and detailed. I loved how she stated fun facts about his party and about how he felt through his whole birthday party and what the paparazzi did to him.

Response On Alexis' Blog

          I recently finished a wonderful blogpost by Alexis Reid  . She is in class 807 and she has Ms.Galang as a ela teacher. the blog that she wrote that I really liked was called Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyers and it was a very interesting and good blog. The thing I liked about her blog was that it had many important details. Alexis stated many good things about the book and about how Bella's life was.
           Alexis talked about Bella's life and that her mom and dad are divorced and she went to her dads house in the summer to visit because she lives with her mom. Bella dad lives in a small town in washington called folk town and it was very weird and different from her moms town. Also  I liked how alexis used the word gloomy for some reason because no one uses it so I thought it was very clever of her to use it. Bella meets these to boys name Edward Cullen and Jacob Black and they both had some sort of mixed feelings for Bella.
           Bella realized that Edward had some different behaviors than other people. Sooner or Later Bella figures out that Edward is a vampire by his behavior because he doesnt like the sun , he loves drinking blood, he can hear noises from a mile away and also he runs really fast. Also she figured out that he was a vampire because of a book she was reading and he saved her life from getting hit by the car and he dented the car because he was very strong.      
          I liked how alexis stated her opinion about how she feels about Bella. For example, Alexis said Bellla was a strong person becuase when Bella found out that Edward was a vampire she didn't get freaked out or scared by it but alexis states that if that was her shw would of been scared and freaked out about it. Also i liked when she said that she wasn't scared about Jacob being a werewolf because maybe she had experence from Edward so she wasn't scared.
            Overall Alexis' blog was very delightful to read and fun. I think she did a good job on explaining the book and how felt about everything.

The Bully

     During class I recently finished a book called " The Bully " its from the bluford high series. It was about young boy named Darrel who lived in the projects in Philadelphia for almost his whole life has to move because his uncle called his mom and offered her a job in California so the mom takes the offer because they need the money and she would like a better house. Darrel doesn't agree with his mom, he wants to stay in Philadelphia because all his friends are there especially his bestfriend.  to bully Darrel because the whole school was sot of scared of his bestfriend. So now Darrel is on his own. He never learned how to stick up for himself.
     Darrels bestfriend always use to protect him. Now that Darrel is moving he's leaving his bestfriend behind and he is starting a new highschool and fears that he will get bullied because he's short and skinny so its easy to be bullied. So Darrel is nervous to start off his first day at Bluford High because he has no friends, he has no one to talk to. Also he is nervious because he is scared that he is gonna get bullied. He scared that hes gonna get bullied because he usually has his bestfriend and he's very tall so no one bothered to bully him. Darrels bestfriend is the tallest from all the other bullies because hes like 6 ft and Darrels really short so he didn't know how to protect himselve until his bestfriend came around to protect him and have his back through everything.
     All Darrel's fears came true about him getting bullied at bluford high! He got bullied by this kid named Tyray Hobbs. For some reason he loved bullying Darrel. Darrel couldn't do anything because he was to scared and he didnt have the guts to do it. Darrel struggled everyday at bluford high because or Tyray Hobbs when is he gonnd do something about it. whar makes it even scarier for him is that Tyray is way bigger than him and also way stronger. Tyray would threaten Darrel every week for money he would collect $10 every week, and if Darrel doesn't have it he would hurt him.
     Darrel has to try to stick up for him self he can't keep living like this in fear. Darrel deserves to be happy like every other teenager. Darrel keeps thinking to himself if he should keep hiding from Tyray or just finally stick up for himself and get on with his life. So finally Darrel sticks up for himself and now everything if fine.
      All in all bullying some one is bad in so many ways. No one deserves to be bullied , no one should ever go through a faze where they are scared of someone or scared that someone is going to hurt them in anyway what so ever. Also I think you should stick up  for yourself, because maybe the only reason why the bully bullies you is because they think your weak or scared but if you stick up for yourself they would leave you alone.
            

Diary of a wimpy kid

           I recently finished a book call diary of a wimpy kid and it was very interesting its a very good book it's actually one of my favorite books. It was about a young boy named Greg and he was an average kid. He was in middle school and he struggles in middle school because  his best friend Rowley embarrasses him and acts like he's a little kid but he's in middle school. Greg  thinks Rowley needs to grow up and act his age because he's always embarrassing him.
        Rowley  would embaress Greg by saying " hey Greg wanna play at my house later " and many people would laugh at him. Greg couldn't take the embarrassment anymore so he started to push his bestfriend away but it did work nothing would make him go away. Greg would try to make rowley more cooler but it didn't help. So Greg and Rowley were in a club where they have to take care of kids younger than them. All the kids loved Rowley Better and none of them liked Greg.
         One day Rowley had to go somewhere and left Greg in charge of the kids and all the kids hate Greg so than a car passed by and it turned out that the people in the car were some boys who they had a fight with and Greg and Rowley by accident scratched there car so the boys can back to beat then  up. Then Greg panicked and put the kids in this little whole and they all hid. So than Rowleys neighbor saw the kids and yelled something out because she thought Greg was Rowley because Greg wore Rowleys jacket and it said his name on it.
          The next day Rowley got sent to the princeibles office it turns out the lady told the principle on Rowley and Rowley got in trouble for something he didn't even do. Greg was the one who got Rowley in trouble but they think its Rowley. Rowley stop talking to Greg because he thought he wasn't a true beat friend to him. Greg missed Rowley and tire talking to him but he would just ignore him and walk away. Greg felt so bad so he confesseded to the Princible and said it was him not Rowley . But that wasn't enough for Rowley Greg wanted his bestfriend back but couldn't get him back.
         In conclusion never take your bestfriend for granted because one day you are going to need than. Greg thought his bestfriend was embarrassing but look where it's got him he had not best friend because he cared about what people would think of him or that they were laughing. Never think your bestfriend is embarrassing cause in the end your the one that's gonna miss them the most.

Twilight by Stephanie Myers

     I recently finished a book called Twilight by Stephanie Myers. That book was very good. It's about this girl name Isabella Swan usually called Bella, and she leaves Phoenix, Arizona to go to Forks, Washington to live with her dad. So now she goes to this new school and there is this guy that can't keep his eyes off her.
          Bella doesn't like it that much at Forks she thinks it boring and lame, but then came this guy name Edward Cullen that sits next to her in biology. Bella finds it's weird to see his weird behavior. Bella finds out he isn't human. Then he tries to start a conversation with her and tries to be friendly. One day when Bella was in the parking lot a van drove really fast in front of her and almost hit her Edward came in to save her, he pushed the van away and made a dent in it. When Bella asked him how he could run so fast and how he made a dent in on that van, he wouldn't confess what he really is. Edward told her to stay away from her or she's in danger, but Bella didn't know why. Now Edward is avoiding her and not coming to school.
      Bella got a clue from her friend Jacob Black that he is a vampire. Bella went to a library and rented vampire books to see if he is a vampire and she found out he is really a vampire. "I know what you are." Bella told him. So, that's when Edward explained his whole story how he became a vampire and he said how he could read people minds, but he can't read Bella's mind.

      One day the Cullen's family were playing baseball and James, Victoria, and Laurent and they are also vampires. James picked up Bella's human scent and now he is thirsty for her blood and wants to kill her. The Cullen's now have to protect her every minute of the day. James told her to meet her by this place where Bella used to go. Before James was killed he bite Bella on the arm and she was losing lots of blood so Edward had to suck the venom blood out of her hand to save her from being killed.

     All in all, Bella is alive and finally found out that Edward and his family are vampires, which Bella is ok with. Bella is a brave character because she isn't afraid of Edward trying to suck her blood or bite her.

Armed and Underage

     I just finish an amazing short story called " Armed and Underage " by Jeffery Gettleman. This short story is sad and it shows how little kids were forced to join the army. This story makes you feel bad for the children that were so young and were forced to no the army. Also it makes you think that it must of been horrible for the parents to have there kids taken away from them.
     A long time ago kids were forced to be soldiers. The commanders of the armies stated that " they don't complain, they don't expect to be paid - and they kill when you tell them to kill " I think that,that quote states that kids don't expect things like adults and don't expect any money because maybe they don't Know how valuable money is. Also I think it states that kids kill because they are scared of the commanders. 
     Kids were taken from there parents by force. I think the parents would sometimes make there kids to to the military because maybe the family needs money so there sending them for money. Also sometimes the families can't do anything about it because if they do they might be the ones getting killed. Overall I think forcing young boys into being soldiers are bot fair because maybe they are not ready yet.

Am I Blue

     I just finish a passage called " A I Blue "  by Bruce Coville and I really liked it. It was about a kid named Vince who's struggling because he thinks he might be gay. Vince was a average boy who got bullied everyday for people thinking he was gay. There's this jock named Butch Carrigan who bullies Vince and and calls him faggot everyday and beats him up. Vince goes through hell everyday for something people think he is but he's really not. If I was in Vince's place I would feel depressed and sad because of the bullies that taunt me everyday. 
    Then fairy god father comes along and tells him that he has three wishes. Vince say that he will be embarrassed because everyone will make fun of him because a old man is following him. Vince cares about what people think to much than himself. Vince is the first boy in the world to have a fairy god father. Vince thinks just because he's the first to have a fairy god father he might be gay. He stated that three bruisers dragged him into an alley and said " we'll teach you faggot " and started beating him up. 
    At the end Vince wishes that Butch Carrigan turn gay but the fairy god father states Butch was already gay. I think it doesn't make sense for Butch to bully Vince for thinking he was gay when he really wasn't because Butch turns out to be gay the whole time. Vince saves his last wist for something important like a girl. I think the main idea in this passage is don't ever do something to someone if you don't want it to happened to you.

The Drummer Boy of Shiloh

    I recently finished a short story called " The Drummer Boy Of Shiloh "  by Ray Bradbury.It was a very inspiring story that took place in the civil war during the battle of shiloh.It was a bloody and dangerous battle.The main idea of the story was about a shy drummer boy named  Joby. Who was involved  in the civil war. He was involved because he as the drummer boy. Joby wasn't to happy he he was actually pretty scared. Joby general was a nice guy he treated Joby as if he was his son. when Joby was crying he told him that when he was younger he was crying just like him. The general helped him move on. 
     Joby was a innocent boy who thought he was useless. It turns out he wasn't useless he actually was very important. Joby ran away at the age of nine to join the U.S army. Joby was a special boy a man whispered in his hear that he was going to be the one , the one of all the rest he won't die he'll go home and and the band will play and he will be there to hear it. The drummer boy states that he  only has a drum and two sticks to beat it. He has no shield no protection and his drum and two sticks. Joby said he hated the drum so much and that it was worse than a toy.
   The general catches Joby crying and say " here's a solider crying before a fight ". Than after he finished crying the he said "do you want to cry more boy I did that last night" the general admits that he was crying last night so Joby shouldn't feel ashamed of crying because everyone does it. He state that " it's going to be a crazy night". " You are the heart of the army " the general states,  this quote shows that Joby wasn't just a useless boy he actually did something and the general even admit to it.

   The main idea in this story is never say you give up or can't do anything because you can one day so never give up.

A Child Called "It"

         During the summer  I recently read a book called a child called it  by Dave Pelzer and it was a very sad and depressing book. It was about a young boy named  Dave  that gets abused bye his mother. Dave pelzer got through all the beating and bruises she caused him. For exampl, in one part of the book she makes him throw up to see if he ate anything because she makes him starve and then after she makes him throw up she makes him eat his throw up. The saddest part of the book to me is when she burns and on the stove while he was crying she wouldnt care she would just continue to burn him even more. I think this young boy shows courage to never giving up on his mom because she would make him play these unpredictable games that nearly killed him and if he didn't learn how to play his mom would beat him or make him starve. So this book turned out to be my favorite book and I think the lesson in this story is its very hard to tell on someone you love like Dave he didn't want to tell the cops on his mother because he still loved her.
